Google's own chatbot throws shade at Google.
Plus, Bing's text-to-image generator is here and it's great.
In today’s email:
Google’s new chatbot agrees that they own a monopoly on digital ads.
Microsoft released their text-to-image generator.
Snoop Dogg in classic TV series, by AI.
But first…
You may have noticed a decrease in Super Artificial issues hitting your inbox lately. When I started the newsletter, I wanted every issue to be packed with entertainment. I wanted your brain to feel inspired and to give you a rush of excitement when discovering new tools and stories. However, I’ve admittedly hit send on issues that I didn’t feel that great about, just for the sake of delivering the issue.
Truth is, not every AI story is worth breaking down. Though there’s plenty of things happening on the daily, it doesn’t pack the punch I imagined for Super Artificial.
So, for the foreseeable future, I’ll be sending emails on a weekly basis. Some of those emails will have 2 big stories, some may have 4 big stories. They’ll still cover some of my favorite tools and use cases for AI, and I’ll absolutely still create or share memes that give me a chuckle. Some weeks you may discover a surprise bonus email that showcases extra tools, resources, and interviews with interesting people. But for the most part, you can expect to see one Super Artificial email a week.
If you need more AI in your life, I’ve linked to some of my favorite daily/semi-daily AI newsletters below that will give you your fix.
Thanks for hanging with me. I hope you’re less of an idiot since subscribing to my newsletter. That’s more than I can say for my boss who definitely isn’t reading this.

🤓 2 Big Stories About AI
1. Google’s own chatbot called them a monopoly and called for the Government to break them up.
Google's new chatbot, Bard, is warning users about the company's power in the ads market. In an exchange posted by a technology blogger, Bard appeared to sympathize with the US Department of Justice's antitrust suit against Google over digital ads.
The 🥩 of it:
Google's new chatbot, Bard, is apparently warning users about the company's power over the digital ads market.
In screenshots posted by a technology blogger, Bard seemed to sympathize with the US Department of Justice in its ongoing antitrust suit against Google over digital ads.
Google has responded to the lawsuit, saying that advertisers choose to use its technologies because they're effective and that Bard's responses don't necessarily represent Google's views.
Bard is an AI chatbot that can sometimes give inaccurate or inappropriate information, according to experts.
In multiple versions of its responses, Bard repeated that it would side with the Justice Department in the antitrust case against Google.
2. Bing’s text-to-image generator is live, and it’s really good.
It may be obvious from previous issues, but I’m sort of a Midjourney fanboy. I don’t necessarily think it’s better than Dall-E or Stable Diffusion, but they made it easier for me to hop in and start creating for free in 2 minutes. Now, Microsoft has started to challenge the spot for my #1 AI text-to-image generator with Bing Image Creator. It’s super easy to sign up and use, it’s printing images much faster, and the quality of images seem to be greater than some of the same prompts I’ve used in Midjourney.
The 🥩 of it:
Microsoft has introduced Bing Image Creator, powered by DALL·E, a new AI-powered tool that allows users to create images by describing them in chat.
The company has integrated safeguards to curb the misuse of the Image Creator, including controls to limit the generation of harmful or unsafe images.
For those in the Bing preview, Bing Image Creator will be fully integrated into the Bing chat experience, rolling out initially in Creative mode.
By typing in a description of an image, providing additional context like location or activity, and choosing an art style, Image Creator will generate an image from your own imagination.

This is usually reserved for memes, but this AI series of Snoop Dogg in 20 classic TV series was just too good not to share. Scope out the full series on Reddit here. See you all next week!
